concertsinyourhome.com, a 2 year-old website which promotes house concerts around the country, has released it’s first compilation CD. The disc features 19 tracks from known, and up-and coming acts from around the United States. The purpose is to promote the concept of house concerts as well the artists who are members of the site.

The artists included are Michelle Malone, Sioban Quinn & Michael Bowers, Adrianne, Rod MacDonald, Jay Mankita, Lauren Adams, James Durst, Jaime Michaels, Arlon Bennett, Zach, Sonia Lee, John Batdorf, David Glaser, Noah Earle, Bob Sima, Randall Williams, Freebo, Joseph Akins, and Fran Snyder.

CIYH is an online community with more than 400 artists, 300 house concert presenters, and all the tools and resources to create, book, and promote a house concert series.

Artists and audiences are falling in love with house concerts for the intimacy they provide, and the way the bring local communities together to celebrate good music without the common distractions you often find in public venues. These private and semi-private events are becoming the “gigs of choice” for many touring artists.
